New candle

Couldn't help myself this morning. I wondered past one of my favourite shops Space NK and was hoping I could grab a bargain. I purchased this gorgeous smelling Laura Mercier candle for next Christmas. Of course you will know from previous posts I love candles and have them burning constantly but I love grabbing winter candles in the sale and keeping them until the following Christmas....

Tired.....

I have just got back in from the gym, did an hour swim...my first in months. Sitting here at the computer now - thought i'd try photo booth, or should I call it natural booth ha ha! Off to bed, night!

Today's Wish List

All three items are on my wish list. The high street seems to be full of browns and dark oranges at the moment, all of these with black trousers or leggings would look great. The items are from Warehouse - one of my favourite high street shops....roll on pay day!

Cuz

I'm missing my cousin Sophie!!! Not seen her in months now!! We spoke today on email and she is coming to Kent for a weekend of cuddles, chocolate and DVD - not forgetting vino!

I'll also be going to Ibiza with her in September......of course!!

LA

This year is going to be busy with lots of travelling which I'm so looking forward to.

In May Mark is moving to Los Angeles with his brother and sister in law and their new baby.... :-( I'm a bit sad as obviously I am going to miss him badly but at the same time it is for only 1-2 months and it means I get to fly out there and stay with them for a week. So excited about this as I'm thinking about all the pampering and cosmetic bits I am planning to have done. I'm a big lover of botox and don't mind admitting it - I first had it done nearly 5 years ago and I'm always keen to try out new places for work. This is such a good move for Mark as he should be working with lots of cool producers and LA is now the place for big DJs to move to, for the last few years it was Berlin but LA and Barcelona seem to be the places now. I wish I could go for more than a week but I work too so only have 25 days holiday a year, so need to use them wisely!! Looking forward to checking out Avalon nightclub when I'm out there.

Will be very strange not having Mark at home for a long period but something I may need to get used to in the future, who knows. It will be exciting planning all those weekends with just friends all weekend long....

New Years Day

So we slept in until early afternoon NYD and then got myself ready for the second big night out. Again Mark was playing for his label Saved at the Source Bar. Had one of the best nights ever down there, I was drinking so no driving!! Probably why I didn't really mind driving the night before because I was more excited for this night. Loads of the gang were down there and we consumed a lot of Jaeger bombs - bottom picture! ha ha

New Years Eve

Mark was playing at DEX Club in Brixton. I decided to drive as I was a bit nervous getting the train and tube down there to be honest, I can be a bit too cautious at times. Brixton is not the safest area of London. Still, the club was really cool and Mark had the crowd bouncing away. Luckily quite a few of our friends came down to celebrate with us, I managed to stay wide awake with no drink down me until 6.30 am.

I wore a really different kind of dress - its a vintage dress which my good friend Sarah Jane owns. One of her friends runs a vintage label and she has a stall at Portebello Market as well as a rail at Topshop Oxford Street, and it is one of hers. Its more of a dress the girls would like as girls appreciate these kind of things more than guys I reckon. I matched it with gold shoes and a black and gold belt.

2011 - Happy New Year

Happy New Year!! 2011 is gonna be a great year for me, I can feel it.

So many things to look forward to, especially my backpacking trip round Japan for 3 weeks in April and a few more things that are too early to mention!

I have so many new year resolutions, like every year but these are my top ones:-

1. Become more organised and improve my communication skills, I'm rubbish with my mobile phone and need to get back to people more often!

2. Progress a project I'm working on and set myself deadlines

3. Get fit and lose weight

4. BLOG MORE!!!

Still not there with my weight goals but heading back to the gym this week.

Had a great new years eve last night, Mark played in Brixton at a club called DEX which was really cool and tonight we are off to the Source bar as he is playing with his bro and James Zabiela, dinner first with them all at 7pm tonight, looking forward to it.

Rubbish

Yep I've been absolutely rubbish at blogging and i'm the first to admit it. So much has been going on....baby Luca was born four weeks ago, he's absolutely perfect. We ended up going to Ibiza, good times. At the moment Mark's cousin is over from Italy and he's staying with us for a couple of days. More details and photos of what's been going on coming soon.....

Summer is over

Summer is now over......

Winter for me will be about working out, saving money and concentrating on my career......then come April I can holiday for 3 weeks in Japan and look forward to the summer. I love winter I must admit, those cosy nights in and wrapping up warm.....but I look forward to summer again.

Have no idea....

If we're going to Ibiza tomorrow or not.....!! Its 23:40 and I need to go to bed shortly but half my stuff is on the bed and the suitcase is ready to be packed, but there is now a chance that we will be going in October instead as Mark's sister in law has gone into labour so we may need to go later with his brother and not tomorrow. Hopefully we'll know soon as I am meant to be taking my stuff with me to work tomorrow and leaving early to head straight to the airport....may be i'll go to bed and sort it out before work tomorrow when we know....

How exciting Mandy is in labour...yay i'm going to be an auntie again!

Sunday Lunch

I met up with my Kent girlfriends yesterday for Sunday lunch in a lovely little pub in East Malling. It was a good luck get together for Mandy as she is due to give birth in the next couple of weeks. I had a roast dinner with champagne, mmmmm!!!

JAPAN

Mark and I went to Waterstones yesterday afternoon to buy a copy of the Lonely Planet Guide to Japan....we are off backpacking for 3 weeks in April so we have started researching now. So exciting!! We have decided to fly into Tokyo, drop some of our luggage off with a friend that is from Tokyo and then we will travel south of Tokyo by bullet train. We also want to visit the islands of Okinawa which look like paradise. We are getting really excited about planning our trip and we have decided to buy a map to pin on our kitchen wall so we can plan the trip and add pin points. We will finish off in Tokyo for the last couple of days and treat ourself to a nice hotel and Mark, fingers crossed may have a couple of gigs. Can't wait to check out Womb nightclub in Tokyo, which has been voted in the past as the best club in the world.

Friday Evening....

So busy today at work, glad when the day was over. Mark's mum cooked us a lovely dinner this evening, was so nice to be spoilt. We're very lucky as we both have mum's that are great cooks and spoil us each time we see them. Then Mark and I watched the film The Hills Have Eyes, talk about scaring the crap out of you before bedtime!!!!
