Rubbish

Yep I've been absolutely rubbish at blogging and i'm the first to admit it. So much has been going on....baby Luca was born four weeks ago, he's absolutely perfect. We ended up going to Ibiza, good times. At the moment Mark's cousin is over from Italy and he's staying with us for a couple of days. More details and photos of what's been going on coming soon.....

Summer is over

Summer is now over......

Winter for me will be about working out, saving money and concentrating on my career......then come April I can holiday for 3 weeks in Japan and look forward to the summer. I love winter I must admit, those cosy nights in and wrapping up warm.....but I look forward to summer again.

Have no idea....

If we're going to Ibiza tomorrow or not.....!! Its 23:40 and I need to go to bed shortly but half my stuff is on the bed and the suitcase is ready to be packed, but there is now a chance that we will be going in October instead as Mark's sister in law has gone into labour so we may need to go later with his brother and not tomorrow. Hopefully we'll know soon as I am meant to be taking my stuff with me to work tomorrow and leaving early to head straight to the airport....may be i'll go to bed and sort it out before work tomorrow when we know....

How exciting Mandy is in labour...yay i'm going to be an auntie again!

Sunday Lunch

I met up with my Kent girlfriends yesterday for Sunday lunch in a lovely little pub in East Malling. It was a good luck get together for Mandy as she is due to give birth in the next couple of weeks. I had a roast dinner with champagne, mmmmm!!!

JAPAN

Mark and I went to Waterstones yesterday afternoon to buy a copy of the Lonely Planet Guide to Japan....we are off backpacking for 3 weeks in April so we have started researching now. So exciting!! We have decided to fly into Tokyo, drop some of our luggage off with a friend that is from Tokyo and then we will travel south of Tokyo by bullet train. We also want to visit the islands of Okinawa which look like paradise. We are getting really excited about planning our trip and we have decided to buy a map to pin on our kitchen wall so we can plan the trip and add pin points. We will finish off in Tokyo for the last couple of days and treat ourself to a nice hotel and Mark, fingers crossed may have a couple of gigs. Can't wait to check out Womb nightclub in Tokyo, which has been voted in the past as the best club in the world.

Friday Evening....

So busy today at work, glad when the day was over. Mark's mum cooked us a lovely dinner this evening, was so nice to be spoilt. We're very lucky as we both have mum's that are great cooks and spoil us each time we see them. Then Mark and I watched the film The Hills Have Eyes, talk about scaring the crap out of you before bedtime!!!!

Karen in Cayman

I managed to speak to one of my best friends from school today on facebook. Karen moved to the Cayman Islands well over a month ago now as her husband managed to secure a teaching job out there. She is so happy and life really is good for them all. I'm Godmother to her son Jacob (JJ). I'm hoping to get out there next year for a week or so, cannot wait. Thank god for the internet - at least we're able to keep in touch all the time. Here are some photos from Cayman, they all look so healthy and relaxed already!

As of tomorrow I will be getting myself back into shape!!! Like most girls I struggle with my body image and weight but I'm determined to get back to my best self....I will keep you posted.

Ibiza Again....

Yay I'm so excited, I go back to Ibiza on 14th September. Saved are holding a party in the Space Terrace at Carl Cox's night so I get to go with Mark, can't wait. Flights are now booked and we're staying in a remote location - be nice to get back there for a couple of days.

I got back from Ibiza a couple of weeks ago. I went with my cousin Sophie and my two best friends Katie and Sarah Jane. I hadn't had a girls holiday in about 3 years so it was a long time coming. Highlights were DC10, Cocoon at Amnesia and seeing Grove Armada perform a live set at Space. Crazy days!!!

It really made me laugh that she did this but at the same time I don't blame her! Look how amazing she looks for a woman of her age, she's hitting 50! Fair play that's what I say!

The party on Sunday was so incredible....I am only just recovering. All the DJs that played were amazing and everyone seemed to have a great time. Hopefully there will be more parties like this from Mark and his brother next summer. Sundays will not be the same now, but at least I will be back into my routine and back to normal for a while.....Really impressed at how well organised the parties were and so chuffed for Mark that they were such a success as he has worked so hard to make these happen.

I arrived about 5pm and ended up leaving at 3.30am as I was beginning to over indulge! Mark came in at about 7am as he went to an after party and we ended up getting up about 2pm and going back to the after party, which eventually ended up back at ours until this morning..... fun times :-)

Jenster and Mum

After visiting my sister we drove to Hertfordshire to meet up with one of my best friends Jenny and her partner JC. We had a really fun liquid lunch and caught up. Living in Kent now its not as easy to meet up with friends and family as often and at times it's really difficult being so far away. It's not like I can just pop in for a coffee and a quick chat round my mum's or friend's from home but I'm getting used to it and Kent does feel like my home now. After lunch we went round to my mum's for a few hours, who had us both in absolute stiches.

Saturday morning Mark and I got up extra early as we went to visit my my sister Steph and her family at their new house and to drop off gifts. The house is absolutely gorgeous, so much land. Even though the weather wasn't fantastic I managed a quick swim with the girls in their outside pool

New Boots

Today I wore my new boots for the first time. I had my eye on them for ages and finally nabbed a pair when they went on sale! They are from Reiss, originally £170 and I purchased them for £50!!!!!

Baby Shower

My sister Liz is pregnant!!! Her first baby is due in December and I am organising her baby shower with my mum, we're really looking forward to it!! Today whilst Mark was busy working in the studio I went along to keep him company and took the opportunity to write all the invites. It's amazing really at how much stuff you can get for baby showers, they seem to have really taken off in the UK now.

So much

Has been happening these last few months. I'm going to get back on track with blogging going forward. I've been to Ibiza with the girls and Mark has been holding weekly parties with his brother for their record label Saved Records. It's all been pretty hectic...

Gina Star

One of my lovely friends Gina Star's new track got released today and its destined for good things!! Its a dance track featuring Queen and its called I Want it Now and has the official thumbs up by EMI and Queen and its set to be a massive summer anthem.

Gina is Texas born and moved here from LA a while back and her profile is rising. She was hailed by E Entertainment and the LA times as one of the most sought after DJs in LA. She's such a wicked girl and is always fun to be around and deserves every bit of success. Its just the beginning for this gorgeous girl!

Blogging

I haven't blogged in a while as I am feeling under the weather and my nephew has been so unwell so I have been visiting him. Once things are a bit better I will start to blog again.

Summer evenings

We were very fortunate tonight as Mark's brother cooked us an amazing BBQ. His brother does the best BBQs ever so I was really looking forward to this. I'll miss Nic and Mandy when they leave to move into their new house as it's so lovely having them with us and it'll be quiet without them when they leave. Our mutual friends Julie and Tony came round also and we just chilled in the garden, ate great food, drunk lots of wine and caught up. Perfect!

Lake

I live in front of a lake and tonight it looked so beautiful when I was walking home from the coach stop.....this was the view this evening. The photo does not do it justice!

Eclipse

Soooo all you twihards! How exciting, Eclipse is about to be released at the cinema. I love the Twilight series and I'm so excited about seeing Eclipse. Mark, myself and his brother and sister in law are going to see it together in Canary Wharf next week and I literally cannot wait!

Little Angels

On our way back from Birmingham we stopped at my brothers to watch the football (I wont even go there!!!) and we had a BBQ. After we stopped at my parents, check out how cute my two little nieces look. I could literally eat them I love them so much. I adore all of my family and my little nieces and nephews - I will be talking about them a lot as they are all such a big part of my life.

Birmingham

Was such good fun! We stayed at a gorgeous boutique hotel called Hotel du Vin. Its a converted hospital and all the rooms were names of wines or champagnes. Our room was called Krug and it was so luxurous, a real surprise, something we were not expecting. The bathroom was my favourite, it had a free standing bath and an enormous shower.

RocknRolla was brilliant, I met some great people in Birmingham, everyone was so lovely and welcoming, such a great crowd and I'm looking forward to meeting up with everyone again. Mark's set went down well and the venue was wicked, a real summer DC10 feeling and it was lovely when the sun came up, got me in the mood for Ibiza!

Smoky Eyes

I spent an hour of my eye make up on Saturday night. I was really pleased with the final result. I used MAC eyeshadows, eye liner and eyelashes.

Sunglasses

Stumbled across these from Dorothy Perkins of all places!! I never used to shop there but over the last couple of months I think they have really gotten better. There are a limited number of clothes shops where I work so I will always pop in here to see if they have anything. These are great value, look fantastic and you don't need to worry about them getting lost or broke as they are such a bargain. I have also seen a great pair of shoes in there which I have my eye on!

Summer Blazer

I picked up this great summer blazer in Next for £55. I'm not a big fan of Next if I'm honest, although I do think they are good for work shoes. I was given some vouchers for my birthday and it has taken me ages to pick something out and I wanted to wait until I saw something that I know I would wear. Love this, looks great with a pair of skinny jeans and heels.

This Weekend.....

Up very early tomorrow morning, dropping Mark's brother at the airport and then we go straight up north somewhere as Mark has a ferrari day, should be fun!! Then we head to Birmingham to meet up with Mark's good friend DJ Micky Slim for dinner and then we are going to Micky's gig at Gatecrasher. Can't wait, feels like ages since I last went out clubbing!

Mark is then playing at Micky's after hours party RocknRolla ......3:30am set. Let's hope I'm up in time for the football on Sunday! Really looking forward to going out in Birmingham as I've never had a night out there, also really looking forward to seeing Mark play as I haven't heard him play in ages! Excited :-)

Today

I woke up to that Friday feeling that's for sure. Hectic day but I managed to get out at lunch time for a couple of hours in Canary Wharf to meet with one of my bosses who is on maternity leave. She brought her little baby with her, how gorgeous is she! She was premature and she is now 10 weeks old but is only the size of a new born baby. She is such a cutie!

This week.......

Has been horrendous. I won't moan as it's now over!! I wish I had a lot to say about what i've got up to this week, but the truth is I haven't. I've worked a lot and have hardly made it to the gym.....not happy! Here are some photos I took from my office window in London on Wednesday night. It was such a beautiful sunset.
